Dress for Success Sydney and The Darnell Collection host a gala catwalk event

'100 Years of Power Dressing' in aid of Dress for Success Sydney

Under the majestic gilt metal chandeliers in the magnificent ballroom at David Jones on the seventh floor, our second annual catwalk gala took place infront of 350 guests.
*
'100 Years of Power Dressing: Innovation' brought out one hundred years of fashion from The Darnell Collection as well as the best modelling I've seen in years by well-known Australian television, stage, radio, sports, music and literary celebrities.
*
As curator, stylist and storyteller, I planned and created the catwalk extravaganza from top to toe! (catwalk set up, music, outfits, hair and beauty mood board, models, fittings, speech research, back stage dressing and presentation of the actual parade.)
*
The evening literally rocked to music played by 'DJ to the stars', Lady Tre, which added to the incredible atmosphere and brought to life each decade.
Over $70,000 was raised to help two hundred NSW women in need
*
As an Ambassador at Dress for Success Sydney,
I am honoured to support a charity whose aim is to empower women back into the workforce so that they may be financially independent and self-sufficient.
