A Quick visit to FernTree Gully for a book signing

A day trip to Fern Gully in the Dandenong Mountains was too quick. I was hosted by the Ferntree Gulley Library and presented a talk about my book Dreaming of Chanel. Out of a small carry-on bag I pulled a 20s metallic embroidered dress, a 50s needleworked handbag and a 40s perch hat with a long feather detail. And there was even time for a quick trip up the mountain for a coffee in a cosy cafe before my taxi collected me for the hour drive back to the airport. Stay tuned for another event in this region I hope will be confirmed soon. (I am wearing a gorgeous dress I bought at Anthropologie in the States. Not vintage, but very 1930s in design. My choker is Victorian - bought from a fantastic antiques centre in Brunswick, Maine.)
