The following story about Alina Galasso was written for the souvenir brochure for the exhibition "Style, Scissors and a Fantasy". Held at TAFE in Ultimo, the opening night gala was sumptuous, classy and just what one would expect in honour of such a stylish woman in the fashion industry. The gowns on display were worn by Alina and were made from European couture fabrics. Fine wine, Ferrero chocolates and divine finger food made the event one of the best this year. The fabulous exhibition was curated by the wonderful Connie Hart.
"A woman of style and grace, Alina Galasso was the driving force behind one of the Australian fashion industry's most innovative businesses, Fabric Fantasy.
Fabric Fantasy was an institution, a meeting place for the leading lights of the artistic community. Fashion and costume designers, socialites, entertainers and students passed through its doors seeking the most impressive fabrics from the leading couture fabric houses in the world".
